All about energy
Energy is a
quantitative property that must be transferred to an object to perform any work
done .
In short we
can say that “energy is the capacity of a physical system to do work.”
Si unit of energy – joule = j (kgm^2s^2
Other units of energy are kWh, BTU, calorie, eV, erg and so on.
Dimension - ML^2T^2
Energy
is a conserved quantity the law of conservation of energy states that energy
can be converted in form .
“Energy can never be created nor
destroyed”
The
sun is the biggest source of energy.
What
do you mean by one joule?
One
joule means the energy transferred to an object or the body by the work of
moving it a distance of one meter against a force of one newton.
Common forms of energy are as follows:-
- RENEWABLE SOURCE OF ENERGY
- NON-RENEWABLE SOURCE OF ENERGY
- KINETIC ENERGY
- POTENTIAL ENERGY
- KINETIC ENERGY
- THERMAL ENERGY
- RADIANT ENERGY
- MAGNETIC ENERGY
- GRAVITATIONAL ENERGY
And many more , this will be discuss later on

The biggest source of energy |
The word energy was first introduced by THOMAS YOUNG
Energy is a thing which is taking most of the part of the earth. It is starting from human
body to generation of electricity and many more.
The conservation of energy – “ENERGY CAN NEITHER BE CREATED
NOR DESTROYED BUT CAN TRANSFORM FROM ONE FORM TO ANOTHER.” THIS PRINCIPLE
IS KNOWN AS CONSERVATION OF ENERGY. LET US TAKE AN EXAMPLE TO UNDERSTAND IT – WE
HAVE SEEN DAM WHICH CAN STORE WATER IN ITS RESERVOIR, NOW WHEN WATER IS NEEDED TO THE NEAR BY FARMING FIELDS THE DAM CONTROLLERS OPEN THE LOCK OF THE
RESERVOIR TO LET THE WATER COME OUT.THE WATER IS FALLING FROM A CERTAIN HEIGHT.
AT THE DOWN OF THE DAM A TURBINE IS CONNECTED.WHEN THE WATER IS FALL FROM THE
RESERVOIR IT HELPS TRUBINE TO ROTATE. FROM THIS ROTATION OF TURBINE WE GET ELECTRICITY
WHICH IS ALSO KNOWN HYDRO ELECTRICITY.
NOW LET US SEE HOW THIS IS HAPPENING FROM A
SIMPLE FLOW CHART
Einstein's mass energy equation E=M*C^2
